My name is Natalia, and I possess only one citizenship. I hold a Philippines-issued regular (non-diplomatic) passport for international travel, and I previously held a multiple-entry Schengen visa Type C. Using this visa, I could visit the 29 Schengen member countries for tourism.
Which countries are inside the Schengen Area?
As of this writing, the 29 Schengen countries are the following (I placed a check mark next to every country I had been to.):
Austria √
Belgium √
Bulgaria √
Czechia (or Czech Republic)
Croatia √
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France √
Germany √
Greece √
Hungary √
Iceland
Italy √
Latvia
Liechtenstein
Lithuania
Luxembourg √
Malta √
Netherlands √
Norway
Poland √
Portugal
Romania √
Slovakia √
Slovenia √
Spain √
Sweden
Switzerland √
What are the other countries that Filipinos can visit with a Philippine passport and a Schengen Type C visa?
Some countries are only accessible through Schengen member countries and they are the following (I placed a checkmark next to every country I had been to.):
Andorra
Monaco √
San Marino √
Vatican City √
There are non-Schengen countries that Filipinos can visit with a Philippines passport and a Schengen Type C visa, and they are the following (I placed a checkmark next to every country I had been to.):
Cyprus √
Albania √
Bosnia and Herzegovina √
Kosovo √
Moldova √
Montenegro √
North Macedonia √
Serbia √
Mexico √
Colombia √
Sao Tome and Principe
Nicaragua √
I would like to emphasize that I also visited Turkey. Due to my multiple-entry Schengen Type C visa, I, as a Philippine passport holder, was able to apply for a single-entry Turkish e-visa.
The most important considerations when entering the non-Schengen countries above are that the visa must be either a double entry or multiple-entry and valid for the duration of your intended stay. This article will be updated from time to time according to my experience.
